What's it all about?

Ready to jumpstart your career while learning and earning at the same time? An Apprenticeship is a great way for you to dive straight into your chosen career. You’ll split your time between learning on the job with experienced professionals and attending the College to gain essential knowledge. It’s hands-on, practical, and you’ll be earning a qualification while you work. Expect to build real skills, make connections, and have fun getting a head start in your future career!

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be at the heart of early childhood education, providing high-quality care and learning experiences that shape the foundations of children’s futures. You’ll work in a variety of settings, including nurseries, preschools, and childcare centres, where your contributions will be crucial to the cognitive, emotional, and social development of young children.

Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of tasks, from planning and implementing engaging educational activities to supporting children’s individual learning needs and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. You will be trained to observe and assess children’s progress, communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, and promote positive behaviour and healthy lifestyles. Additionally, you will ensure that the care provided meets the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards and that all activities are inclusive, promoting equality and diversity.
